The Wild Coast offers many great volunteering opportunities. Lubanzi is a progressive village, the local people are open for development and keen on creating better opportunities for their children.
There are different volunteering options available. One would be to work with the community - at the moment they are busy building an Early Learning Center for their children, so soon teachers will be needed. Another option is to volunteer at the backpackers - there is always a lot of different stuff to do.
For a stay of 5 to 14 days we can offer half price accommodation for volunteers - you would be working in the garden half-days or helping with construction work. For longer stays, please contact us for details and specific arrangements. If you want to work with the community, you must stay at least a month, but better 3 to 6 months.
Wild Lubanzi is a small backpackers and we have few staff, so we all need to get on with each other. For this reason we don't take volunteers for the backpackers that we haven't met beforehand. So come and introduce yourself and if this kind of life agrees with you, stay as long as you like!
